Google Earth Oddity

About 10 miles south of Santa Veronica on the Compadre Trail you pass a ranch and the road branches into three directions, going straight you cross an arroyo and start up hill. If you look at Google Earth at coordinates 32-22-15x116-17-28 the road doesn't match. This is the first time I've seen this on Google Earth.

You are right DK the left side is Oct 31, 2010 and the right side is Mar 25 2006. I've followed a lot of roads and trails on GE that were taken at different times but I never noticed a mismatch like this.

If you look at Bahia Santa Maria, as you zoom in the photo changes (as the bay shape changes... so higher look to lower look also can be from different years!

I am about to load up my truck for Baja... you and Shirley coming down?

Not for the this weekend. I'm going down next week probably Wed. for the Baja 500 race. Prerun some sections I've not been on for a while, Laguna Salada to Borrego and maybe take a look at the new section to the summit. I hear it's a real test. They started regrading it this week.
