Thanks Woody! I hope You make it there someday, it is worth the visit. The waterfall in "Romancing the Stone" with Michal Douglas is an easy drive from where I will be staying. After all my years of living in Baja I am in awe as to the amount of water flows in this part of Vera Cruz.

Eli - have you been to Lake Catemaco ? It was one of our favorite places during our 6 week trip on the mainland ..... quiet and non-touristy and absolutely gorgeous and not expensive and lush and

BajaBlanca thanks for the tip, just googled, looks beautiful and the culture there sounds intriguing, well worth a visit. How hot was it when you were there? I am such a woosh when it comes to humidity and heat. Last Oct. I spent an afternoon down in Puerto VeraCruz, there was so much to see, but alas, HOT, short visit and I was running for the hills of Coatepec.
