go canucks...gotta love hockey in baja!

sheesh...with nearly all the canucks back up north, it was a small hockey party for this 2nd game of the playoffs watched from the blowhole in Asuncion... Pretty dull game till the 3rd period...Canucks pull it off once again in another dramatic win.... ahhh I can taste that lovely microbrewery beer now Woody!!!

Santiago...ya up for another bet amigo?? anyone else?

funny thing is we canucks arent real patriotic but I gotta tell ya I sure love hockey and feel proud to be born canadian and have grown up with hockey....although it's gotten pretty woosey now with helmuts and facemasks, big pads etc.

go canucks!!!!!

I woulda watched it wif ya' Shari but we're in Mulege for the weekend.

Next week, ok? I'll bring my sweater and booties.

It was fun rootin' for your team last week with all you Canucks, but looking at all that ice, well I just got cold!

another canucks supporter here! it's been almost 40 years since the "big bad bruins" but I still hold a bit of a grudge as a l.a. kings fan. though it's funny if you get the nhl channel or watch the old youtube clips, guys like ken hodge and wayne cashman would have gotten their clocks cleaned daily by today's players. then again, guys like ratelle and marcotte were so classy and I feel privileged to have seen bobby orr many times. hmmmm...then there was espo and cheevers and bucyk...

I take it back.

Go Bruins!!!!!!!!!!!

Being that it's Sunday, they've probably taken anti-senseless violence vows for the day.
When is the next gang-fight? :o

Woody; 'home field' advantage not a bid deal in hockey.
Shari; how stoopid do you think I am? (don't answer that:biggrin:) The only even-money bet I'll go in at this late date is that the Bruins can avoid a sweep. That I'll do.

Nothing like hockey on a Saturday night, nice neighbourhood party, always at least someone watching, violent yelling out three times, topped off with that 11 second overtime period. Two to go now. If Vancouver wins it will be the first time in 96 years, the 1915 Vancouver Millionaires won the Stanley Cup, I can hardly remember...ha. Manny (Malholtra) was back after being out for 2 months, after a severe eye injury, a fan favourite and Basketballer Steve Nash's bro in law, winning 90% of the faceoffs he took and playing 7 plus minutes.
Could it be Boston's turn to win one? Maybe, but the Canucks are hot.

Just amazing what can happen in 11 seconds hockey!
As I was born and grown up in Holland, I tought soccer was exciting until I moved to Canada and watch the 'big games' like last night. Proud to be Canadian, and yes Shari, that micro-brew. It's awsome, one of the good things being up north for a few months.

Isn't forcing me to drink 6 Tecates the same as losing? Now, make that Tecate draught (d-r-a-f-t for those of you from the middle Providences) and you've got a deal. By the way, how the heck do you guys remember the Providences between Alberta and Ontario? To be honest, I'm always mixing up New Hampshire and Vermont myself, but that whole middle area of Canada is a big blank.

I'm here Shari, just got back from Loreto last week and am still on cloud 9. The late night honking and fans screaming in the streets have gone on for hours after each game. Can not imagine what this place will be like if, NO wait WHEN our beloved Canucks win it all. :bounce:
2 more wins and can't wait to eat some bean-town Chowder

Santiago: Now it's going to be real easy for you to remember the belly button of Canada. Winnipeg has just been awarded the Atlanta franchise, and is back in the NHL. Another hockey crazy Canadian city to cheer for :o
