Father's Day Horse Races in Asuncion & BBQ
Father's Day weekend was awesome this year as there were some fun events. There was a horse race where many young horses from the local ranches who
have never raced before got a chance to try it out...it was neat to see up and coming horses perform. There were quite a few Nomads attending which
made it even more fun...gottta love tailgate parties!

bajaboy's boy Gabriel scored a ride with Chocha.

the band was a neat addition and some horses danced to the nortena music.

here is one of our workers whispering to his ride!!

my favorite horse!!!

Here is a little slide show of the event

and a clip of the race I figure I won as I bet on the horse on the right side of the track.

That evening there was also a c-ck fight...I hear Surfdoc has some good photos of that. My cunado's team won big time and had an excellent victory
party on Sunday.

here is the winning rooster getting sewn up.

The live band played all day and sang Las Mananitas to Allan who celebrated his 15th birthday that day too. He really loved turning 15 baja style with
menudo & carne asada.

I hope you all enjoyed the weekend as much as we did!

Wish I could have been there.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

Turning 15
Yep, that was my boy, "Alex" turning 15 years old. We had an awesome time with Shari and Juan getting personalized attention and an invite to the
local happenings...fishing; c-ck fights; horse races; dancing; etc. Also, our first long range test drive in our recently South Dakota plated auto. I
still get nervous letting Alex drive... .

It was really neat to see how young Alex appreciated the mexican culture at the events he attended...looks like another baja fanatic has come of age.
He is a fine and delightful young man and you should be very proud of him O.G.!!
