Never spent much time in Bocana...usually just to make a run from Abreojos to get tequila (at least that was the place to buy it in the old days...). Looks like a cool place, will have to check it out next time I'm in the area.

I know !! I really feel like I am in the wild wild west sometimes, Shari .... and every sunday Dr. romero, our local private doc, goes out on the horses ...that is, when he isn't at a cabalgata or off on a ranch somewhere.

Doctor Romero was the one who took care of Don Kay while Mike stayed with us ... plumped him Don Kay up real nicely with goodies .... checked his hooves and shoes and supplied the hay.

Hope all of you come to visit, we are a quiet town, very remote and tiny (population of 651 !!!) of which there are only 2 American families and all the rest are nuestros amigos mexicanos.

the pics are as follows: 1. from the front porch lookign right. 2. from the front porch looking straight in front and 3. from the front porch looking left. The whole town is to the left of us.

come on over folks !! we'd love to have ya. and from here it is a 20 min. ride to abreojos to surf. 1 hour ride to asuncion to visit shari and the gang there. 2 hour ride into the mountains to see Cueva del Raton cave paintings

and a sit on the front porch to see the horses on a Sunday :) Dr Romero asked me if I wanted to ride the horse !!!! No way, this city girl said NO WAY !!!

Got to love it Blanca.

I always tell folks that living down here feels like I slipped back in time a hundred years, but still get to keep my cell phone, internet and HD television...
