Scorpion experiment

I know we have plenty around here but I haven't seen any lately. I'm sure there are plenty in Baja. Apparently if you put even a drop of alcohol on a scorpion it will go crazy and sting itself to death. Anybody want to try it? Sorry, PETA...

Get the UV light and go out at first dark, wow, you will see plenty of scorpions. Don't imbibe your test solution too much before you go hunting.

Peace,

The info I had just mentioned alcohol, so I guess it could even be Jose Cuervo.

I vote for a squirt gun full of Mescal, for the stubborn buggers, maybe a Super Soaker!!!

if you're using cuervo, i'd say that was a great use for that rubbish, although rubbing alcohol would be about the same....:light:

I certainly would not do that...putting a drop of alcohol on a scorpion . Contrary to this "old wives tale".......applying any amount of alcohol upon a scorpion...it will react in a such a way, looking for moister to remedy the burn. There has been many cases of instant choking of humans because the scorpion will actually spring clear of the ground into one's mouth. They can jump some 7 or so feet.

Poppyc-ck. Scorpions rely only on their claws and venom for defense and killing prey. They're not kangaroos.

I heard that if you poor cheap tequila on a scorpion that, just before they jump into your mouth, they sting both your eyes and your neck where the jugular is.
