Real hard to top the carnitas wrap at El Recreo IMO
and, they don't have cervezas, but they never have minded our dragging a few out of the cooler and enjoying them with our meal at the little roadside
tables.

If you are in Ensenada at 10 de Noviembre and Centenario next to the Auto Zone and across the street from the PEMEX
there is a Taco Institution that does a brisk business of almost purely locals since this is off the beaten tourist track.
EVERYTHING is Fresh. The guacamole is prepared with real chunks of avocado not some super watered down green
liquid. They have asada, Al Pastor tortas, etc.
They even maintain a place where you can wash your hands
and separate men and womens bathrooms. The prices are
about a buck a generouly filled taco. the name is EL PAISA
and it is next door to a paleteria Michoacan where you can
have a cool deliscious ice cream if you have room.
The asada is best. I find the Al Pastor a bit lacking in flavour
and for the first time in my life dining in Mexico I had to ADD SALT to my food. I am very salt sensitive person so for me to add salt is a big thing.
My only guess is that they go through
their meat so fast that they do not have time to properly season it before it hits the grill. This is an outdoor taco stand.

Someone mentioned that Tacos El Yaqui moved ... can anyone verify this and if so, where did they move to?
We are heading down to Ensenada this Saturday and we always liked stopping there on the way.

Once again, pay attention. Tacos Los Poblanos in San Quintin. By far the best in town. I get full with just two carne asada tacos, these guys really
pack it in. I have never, ever gotten sick there. The place is always packed and with a gringo or two always standing there chowing down.

Woody, I never buy the c-cktails in SQ either because I might get sick, but rather because I make my own clam, oyster, or limpets c-cktails.
About 13 years ago I did buy a clam c-cktail by the side of the road and the damn thing was $10 and not even half as good as mine. Seems I was eating
a cup full of cucumber.

There is a Yaquis 1 y 2, same location. Down the streeet is El Gerente, and we consider it better than Yaquis.

In Ensenada there is Los Perrones which I believe is run by the same family as Tacos El Yaqui in Rosarito. Had some amazing tacos there when I was
down for the Baja 500 in June. If you are heading south through Ensenada on Blvd. Lazaro Card##as, it is on the left side of the street a few blocks
before you make the left turn at the Pemex to continue on the 1....

I hit the original "Los Perrones" in Rosarito about 18 years ago. You had to wait in line abot 20 minutes just to order. Great tacos.

Hi Bob H,
As far as I know, Tacos Yaqui is still in the same location.
I posted that Hugo left and opened up his own taco stand about two blocks north on the same street, "Tacos Gerente".
I like Hugo's place better than the Tacos Yaqui that is still in its original location.
You can do a taco tasting; the two places are walking distance

Marco Antonio's is located on Rayon, between 3rd and 4th Streets.
Plan to arrive about 11:30 as they close at 1:00 and the inventory gets low any later than 12:00 noon.

By reading this thread one might be led to beleive there aren't any good taco stands in BCS, I know I've been to some great ones I just need to
remember the names, I'll ask the wife and get back with the names.

In Todos Santos my two favorites. Chilakos by the Bookstore, carne asada tacos, tortas, & bean & cheese burritos. MMMmm . Also, out on the
hill & bypass road south are Fish Tacos El Parguito--fish or Shrimp in a crispy batter w/ excellent crema or white sauce!! Cuidado, la salsa
esta muy picante. Tomas there are others

I was quite taken with some ‘tacos de borrego’ (lamb tacos) along with a cup of consommé de borrego to which we added onions and salsa… at this stand
in San Vicente, operated by Gloria. Very Yummie!!!! Best: I bought three nomads a killer lunch, all for $20USD including what Gloria considered a very
nice tip! Viva Baja, Baby!
