Sitting and Thinking

Silence of Baja

A orange-red sun awakening
Driving away the dawn
Chasing away the shadows

Bursting forth
Rushing into the sky
Over the Vermillion Sea

A land of silence
Harshness
And sudden change

Clouds forming slowly
Over the islands
Moving rapidly over land

Keening of the wind
Hackles rise
Assaulting the senses

The shriek?..of a hurricane
Crashing on shore
Wind and rain

Once dry arroyos
Flowing full
Boiling out to Sea

A land of silence
Harshness
And Pain

Thanks for that. I envy your ability to capture the essence on paper.
