Watched that one from our side last night. The amount, and frequency of lightning was phenomenal.

What a show ! Lots of lighting & thunder but very little rain. So I had the house buttoned up, the generator running and the AC blasting away
through the night.
This morning is beautiful and earlier it was 77º.
Shot towards Mulege

Spectacular. I hope willyAirstream isn't floating down the river?!Update and photos Richard? It has been cooler out in Vizcaino & San Ignacio.
Cool with a little fog here in Bahia Asuncion--low 70s at nite and mid eighties. I don't have a temp guage but no rain for sure! I don't think
Loreto has had any rain. But its September! Enjoy. Tio

it was a shimmery night last night on the mid pacific coast as sheet lightning lit up the sky all night long...we enjoyed the spectaculo from our
summer bedroom...the tent, which has just netting for a roof so we could relampago gaze throughout the night...hard to sleep with that light show to
watch.
tiotomas, you must have had a fantastic view of it from your place!!!

No pics of the mud Tio. Cuesta Real driveway was recently graded and new gravel added, it is now a gutted river bed with no gravel. This morning town
roads were full of mud and stuck cars. Housekeepers walked to work. The Rio peeked at high tide this morning, just level with the road. Power was out
for 18 hours and it poured for at least 12 hours. Lightning was LOUD and close, zapping an antenna here. 3 of us saw the hit and ball of FLASH.
Luckily, no wind with tropical storm "Eight E" http://www.eebmike.com/
Mulege was flashing red on the site accurately showing the activity yesterday , before power loss. Just another day in paradise now as it is back to
"friggin hot" temps. Fans, AC and a generator are a must for summer here.

Normal BCN boring up here. We could use some weather just to break the monotony. We usually get a good electric light show about once or twice each
summer, but it's been kinda quiet this year.

Went downtown at 3pm and was shocked. The causeway under the bridge was washed out. Jorge's ice/beer/water/propane place was a mess, some downtown
roads were full of mud and Ice House Road was wiped out in 2 places. You can travel easily, just plan for a delay for road crews. Should be cleaned up
today. There are dump trucks everywhere and the town is busy repairing/cleaning. Rumor has it that Luma Asul supply water pipes are broken in several
places. Houses along the Rio are fine, no flooding.

Those are amazing shots. I would have never imagined there was that much rain.

I don't know Russ. Hotel Hacienda has free WiFi, it may reach to Scottys. Then again, the hotel doesn't have power right now, but they are working on
it. There are many Pueblo parties scheduled for this weekend, hope the rain stays away, but it looks like it could last for a few days.

Awesome, amigo! It's like there is a target on top of Mulege! Because ofthe beautiful location on the hills overlooking the rio it gets mudslides and
flooding. Jimmy Olsen reporting-- great pics Richard but where's Superman? This must be getting old. It will be green and beautiful and a summer to remember.
Generators? Sin duda! Go gettum Mousse! Tio

I need a better camera!!! Lots of lightning, thunder and rain in El Burro from about 1am to 5am. I took pictures but nothing decent turned out. The
lightning was so intense that when I first woke up I thought something outside was on fire. No break in the lightning which I have never seen before.
I lived in Georgia for a while and thought the South had intense lightning but last night was exceptional.
