THANKS TO DISCOVER BAJA Travel Cub!!

THANK YOU TO DISCOVER BAJA - Carol and Hugh Kramer

Hi Nomads...
As many of you know, during Baja Gringo's recent medical emergency, Carol Kramer at Discover Baja provided valuable assistance by collecting donations from Nomads for Ron and Cristina's Hoff's medical hospital and doctor bills.

SO...in response, I was thinking we should all offer her/them our sincere thanks (RIGHT HERE on Nomad) for helping Ron and Cristina out.

AND...
if you are not a member of DISCOVER BAJA, check out their web site at http://discoverbaja.com to see the many helpful and valuable services they offer to help out Baja travelers and ex-pat residents.

Hugh and Carol have been offering knowledgeable service and assistance to Baja travelers since 1991 and they know their stuff...give em a visit!!

Mood: Needing Baja!

[*] posted on 9-19-2011 at 07:53 PM

I was just thinking of Discover Baja. Today I got a mailing from them that gave me a receipt for my donation to the Hoff's. First of all it was very prompt, especially after the the extra work they did to help us get our donations where they needed to be. Also included was a Thank You Flyer for making a contribution. I think that was really turned around. It is we that should be sending them a thank you for helping all of us. The flyer says "You made it happen." Actually, if they hadn't made it so easy, my donation may not have ever gotten to Ron and Cristine. Something I wanted to do became something I could easily do because of their efforts. For that reason I would like to say to Carol and Hugh and the staff at Discover Baja "YOU MADE IT HAPPEN!" Thanks for stepping up for Ron and Cristine and for helping those of us who may not be mainstream nomads to still participate. It feels great to be a little piece of this great effort to help a friend (even if we haven't met). I'm still a little stunned by this past weeks events. The tears shared in fear, anger and outrage. The outpouring of love, prayer, and assistance in so many ways. And the tears of joy at the positive outcome of these efforts. What a group to be associated with!

Great people! Charter Member, never failed to come through for me these many years. The sent $5,000 down before they got that much in donations.

That's not what your WIW's #12, 19. 25 and 33 told me!

HEY...not a big deal that I was their rebound. They just got tired of waiting for you to come back!  :D

Carol handled the transactions very efficiently, while showing lots of class. A good example of a good Samaritan. We could use more like her.

Discover Baja is a handy place... see you in October for fishing licenses, a visitor's tourist permit, and coffee.

Too bad more Nomads missed their 20th anniversary party! Other than Baja Angel and I, the only other Nomad (that I was aware of) there was Roy, 'The squarecircle'.

David K...

Wish I had been there!

Having a 20th Anniversary sure says something about the quality of service that Discover Baja offers. A business does
not reach that milestone without a history of doing that!

Carol's service to help out the Hoff's and the many Nomads who donated is a shining example of that!!!

Again...A huge Thank You to Carol, Hugh and the entire DB staff!!

Proud to be members

and thank you to Carol and the staff.

They are always friendly, and, inspite my attempting to use a marriage license instead of a birth certificate to get a tourist visa they are helpful as can be.

They're Good People.

A lot of times that expression is overused and meaningless...but in this case it's RIGHT ON.

So easy to help faraway friends with Discover Baja's help. Congratulations to Carol and all the staff at DISCOVER BAJA. And hey, thanks for sending all this info...and that free sample??

I'm renewing my membership hoy!

Dear Nomads,
Thank you for all the kind words for Discover Baja. It was awe-inspiring to take your donations for Ron and Cristina. There were so many generous contributions from many of you who didn't even know Ron personally. What a comforting thought to know the Baja community is responsive to each other. It was a privilege to be a part of that. We're just happy that Ron and Cristina are recovering and that Ron is back in the US.
As always Maythé and Monica went over and above in service. They are THE BEST. Please call us if you need anything.
Happy Baja travels,
Carol
