bye bye Woody

on woody and his wife's last night here, there was a huge party in la bocana - the traditional saint day fiestas - so there was all night music and a carnival

we decided to go to Joaquin's cactus restaurant with the whole gang who was at our house: bajajurel, bob, woody and bia, Les and I and lastly, our Santa Bill from Ensenada and his aigo Billy - dinner was amazing as always (so much lobster !!). Here is the famous Joaquin:

we had a band that played for us

we really miss you Woody .and Bia ..... it was fantastic having you visit our neck of the woods !!

Here is Woody having his last michelada !!!!

yes! that was very cool to check out the local fiesta. although the fish were in hiding after 3 days of strong winds turned the water over we still scrapped up a few YT. even scored 2 days of empty surf to the south. Blanca even made us a curry and raisin lunch one day that was awesome.

we had a blast.

13 hours to the border crossing at otay at midnight. tj was backed up to the streetlight. 10 minutes in secondary and hasta.....

thanks Blanca!

i'll put up some pics in a few days. gotta catch up with work. getting sent to san clemente and san nicholas islands for the next projects. not gonna be much baja time this winter. guess i'll be saving vacation days instead of using them for awhile....
