Halloween
Another great Halloween night in the village. These are lean times but the villagers pulled it all together again by fashioning clever, inexpensive
costumes for the kids and driving them around the neighborhoods in trucks for fun and safety.
Each year we buy more and better treats but we always seem to run out. Last night we were lucky and borrowed some from our neighbor to finish up with
the last little pirates and angels.
Many of the kids said Gracias, some said "Thank you" in English. One taller/older boy threw dirt on Lynda. Whatever he meant by that didn't work
because next year we'll be right back at it with a smile and treat for all who show up.

Really nice of you and your neighbors to pull off a Halloween holiday for the kids...considering that it is not Mexican celebrated festivity.

tell that to the 700 kids who came to our door in Rosarito! A haunted house around the corner had a line down the block to get in. They are catching
on to the free candy pretty quickly... the costumes and "trick or treat" talk... not so much yet. We went through 6 large bags of Costco candy and
still turned out the lights by 8:30pm disappointing many I am sure.

It's getting to be. There's even a Spanish name for it to distinguish it from Dia de Los Muertos. It's now called "Dia de Las Brujas'.
All my childhood I wanted to be older. Now I\'m older and this chitn sucks.

It looks as though Al Qaeda is now celebrating Halloween as well.
