BAJA BOOKs: Need to let some of my babies go... Looking for a new home or holiday gift giving

EDIT: A Nomad has offered to buy them all, thank you so very much!

While I don't want to, the economy is forcing me to part with some of my 'babies' (great Baja books). If you are able to adopt them into your library or share them as gifts, let me know. Here are the ones I am seeking new homes for all together... I will post individual photos, details and the 'adoption fee' following...

Many are rare, highly esteemed, or autographed... most are like in very good condition or close to new shape, despite their age.

Too many to show together in one photo, so here are 4 (top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right:

Yes, the highly esteemed LARGE Baja Topo Atlas and Choral Pepper's rare Baja lost treasures and missions book are there. I also have several (new from the publisher) copies of Mike Humfreville's book that would make great gift giving.

Each book will be detailed in the next posts...

don't forget - if you can't get any buyers - you can make a donation to a library or museum/foundation and generally they will sign and accept your statement of value - or issue you theirs at a value you suggest.

then you get a nice tax deduction.

Mike, I need $$$ for rent, food, etc. I won't need a tax deduction because I didn't make squat this year! If I don't sell them then I keep them... I don't want to let them go, so it isn't about space here. Thanks for your thoughts. By-the-way, I already donated many books to the Baja Cactus Library Project, as did many other Nomads. If the economy and fear factor get better, then Baja Cactus can expand and create a reading room, as planned.

Dang, that was fast. Glad they're going to a good home, DK, and I hope the buyer is willing to give you a Right of First Refusal on a re-sale.

David K.
As a Gen. Contractor who hasn't made squat this year either (but I did marry a nurse) I have returned to school and am close to finishing Paralegal training for a retirement career. Hoping I can do it remotely from a bay in Baja in about 5 years over the internet as a contract paralegal for attorney’s who wish they could be sitting next to me!

I seem to gather you are a Landscape Contractor? Or something like that…and from what I know most of those types don’t need the extended higher education of 2 years at Mesa University (ok took me 3 years and it was Mesa Junior College) that I have but let me lend some of my higher learning to you (I always tell my wife I have enough brains for all of us).

FOR CRYIN’ OUT LOUD DUDE! WRITE A BOOK!

With all of your material, experiences, photographs, maps, etc…you’re selling other peoples stuff? Self Publish, Hit up Sunbelt Publications, find lost relatives to fund a few hundred bucks for your first copies (Zulu, etc…) and stop giving the money away here on this forum!

That’s what a few years of Junior College get ya.
& enough sense to marry a nurse.
