Easy come, easy go. No big deal. Hang in there if you want to. Drop out if don't. It'll all shake out in the long run.;D

His postings were from a perspective that we would not get without him.

Well, he is just moved to a happier place (for him)... Not sure if Ron will ever need to 'police' his forum more than what is moderated here, but it can happen.. or folks can just ignore the postings that they don't like instead of leaving. I do miss a lot of Nomads who just quit posting when they didn't like the ugly stuff that sometimes pops up. I know, it just isn't worth it anymore for them. But, I suggest you take what you like and pass over what you don't. A thumbs up or possitive comment to good quality posts and ignoring the negative ones would be great for Doug and others to see.

It was better when we got together once a year or so to party in person. I think people treat each other better when they have met the others they chat with or read on Nomad.

I miss the Viva Baja parties, M's BBBB campouts, the Pyramid Resort Book Signings, the Baja Cactus Tijuana and El Rosario festivals, and 'Matomi Gang' runs! I met most of you at those events. Met Jesse at the first Baja Cactus party (at jrbaja's place)...

I hope someone will have the energy to host another event like one of the above for the Baja fans of the Internet.

Perhaps one day we can say the same to you Mr. Goat! I wonder how many more are going to check out as the result of your and others bitter nastiness, both here and in OT.

Maybe Mr. 187 himself, the BajaNomads Baja crime reporter, the Baja crime town crier, will sponsor a happening at the Tijuana morgue. He can point out all of the dead Americans as we sip Pacifico's and partake in fish tacos.

Our reincarnated member who has decided to post about several murders and other situations that involve ex-pats and gringos, whether in Baja or not. Mr. 187, or maybe Mr. 5150??? Please don't go away mad, just go away!!

An inaccurate and misleading statement.

This was addressed previously:

Remember: play nice!

Who said Doug doesn't police his site?

I, for one, have received one warning from him to respect the rules or else.

Not that you'd care, but you just went up 500 points on my score card. Self-deprecating humor shows a side of you not obvious in most of your posts and is a big plus in my book since it usually denotes a certain amount of humility--something in short supply in this world.
