What's proper, help me out here
I know what the Google and Yahoo/Bablfish translators say, but if I want to hoist a glass to a Hispanic friend, what's proper. salute, salude, or
saludos?
Is "saludos mi amiga, feliz navidad" proper? Or is "Feliz Navidad mi amiga, salude!" better?
Thanks in advance

"ˇPor la amistad!".

"Mi Amiga"
Should be the endearment that is attached to the end of your statement.
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow mindedness.”
—Mark Twain
\"La vida es dura, el corazon es puro, y cantamos hasta la madrugada.” (Life is hard, the heart is pure and we sing until dawn.)

Ok, so if I say "Feliz Navidad, Vamos a brindar por la amistad mi amiga" would be proper?

From my Mexican wife, ALL ways of saying Merry Christmas and a toast from a guero guy is cute. So, go for it. If you mess up they will still love
you and think you tried.

Yes, Put the Personal Reference at the End of Your Toast
In my limited understanding of Spanish grammar I believe that this is the way you should structure your sentence,
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow mindedness.”
—Mark Twain
\"La vida es dura, el corazon es puro, y cantamos hasta la madrugada.” (Life is hard, the heart is pure and we sing until dawn.)
—Kirsty MacColl, Mambo de la Luna
\"Alea iacta est.\"
—Julius Caesar

Seriously, my wife told me like 3 different answers to post as far as proper grammar, then just said, "say Merry Christmas and mean it, she'll
understand you".
