A call for help. Please read this. FOUND

This is from Abigail...she wish that I post this ASAP. Her newbie registration to the BN is currently being processed.

Please address her directly about this...here on this post. Thanks all. McFez

Deno,
Will you post something for me after all?
We want to try and make contact with two mid thirties Americans (Grant Myers and
Greg Heller) in a white Toyota Truck with a shell. They went surfing and camping so
the truck is full of that stuff (boards on top, etc..). The last we heard from them
was Tuesday night at 6:30. We usually (this is a yearly trip) hear from them every
night via the SPOT Messenger.
Maybe there is someone in the area who can get to where they were last or possibly
someone has seen them.

The last SPOT message gave the coordinates:
Latitude:29.09889
Longitude:-114.6425

Thank You so very much,

Abigail

PS. I have copied in the wife of the friend my husband is with, her name is Ayala.

We use Spot Connect. It's not 100 %. My BF has sent me messages but I haven't received them a few times. Does she know their Spot account info? I went on ours to see if they showed the ones I didn't get and it did show one I never received from the 10th. It didn't have the message but it did show he sent it and I never got on my email. That isn't 100% either as it didn't show some from Xmas that he sent but I never got but maybe worth a try.
Edit to say it's really only been 1 night, Wed. night that they haven't checked in so stay calm and try not to worry too much. It probably just didn't go through or they forgot.

1. Navy / Marines patrol this area regularily. If they have run afoul of the law (poaching or drugs) they could be locked up.

Definately notify the Navy / Marines.

2. Have some one ask around in St Rosalillita. The Marron brothers (10 of them?) fish and clam and drive this area regualrily. People in this town know what goes on up there and run their pangas around too.

3. The surf was recently huge (too big for many) if they are daredevils, they could have met their match.

Good Luck

No worries

Hi

We met a couple in Gonzaga Bay on Saturday matching that description. Could the truck have been an older toyota 4 runner?

I'm at the Baja cactus hotel heading into this area maņana. I'll let them know if I see them that they need to check in.

Actually, just read that they checked in so sounds like all is good!

This motel rules. Got the nomad discount. $35/night! Heading out for dinner.

Woody you need to have a talk with mcfez and Abigail about posting coordinates of surf spots on Nomad. Some people have gotten into trouble for that. Glad the guys are OK.
