English Muffins
I have not been able find them since Chedraui bought out CCC.
However.....Walmart had something called Bagel Dulce and surprise, surprise; they are excellent English Muffins.
Just a heads up

Judy - I saw English muffins in Chedraui last Friday for the first time in a looong time . . . one day I would like to meet the buyer there, who seems
to live in her own world - which does NOT include Lipton's (black) tea.

Aramburos has them, and the buyer at Chedraui is a man and he was the buyer for CCC.!

Walmart also had Lipton black tea...for some unknown reason it is called yellow tag or yellow label.
These bagels dulces are better than the ones at CCC.

English muffins
Have you considered making them? Really easy on the griddle like pancakes and you can freeze them. Better than anything you can buy.

We're waiting, Dave.

You can buy English Muffins at the El Sol market in Todos Santos. It is 1 block up on the right coming into TS from Pescadero (Cabo). They have bagels
too and lots of other "Gringo" foodstuff.

It seems that Alton Brown has become the new Messiah of good recipes. I am a worshiper.
Here is the one many are raving about. It does require English muffin rings, but Brown points out that small tuna cans will also work.
This is one of the few that gives you the 'nooks and crannies'. Not quite as nooky as Thomas', in my experience.

Bajajudy - where do you find the bagel dulces at Walmart? In the panaderia or in the bread aisle or somewhere else?

I've found 5.5 oz cat food cans work better. They're a bit fatter than tuna tins. The key to nooks & crannies is getting the yeast working. Let it
sit until it starts to bubble a bit then incorporate it with the dry ingredients. Also, the dough should be wet and sticky. You may need to
add more liquid. BTW, if you don't have powdered milk you can substitute milk where the recipe calls for water. I also like to throw in an egg.

Dave, you mean the cans are taller (and thus create fatter EMs) or the CANS are fatter (larger in diameter)? I havent looked at a cat food can in
probably 45 years.

That makes great sense, especially for someone such as Judy who resides in the Los Cabos area. Aramburo catered to the tourists way before the other
Mexican chains arrived.

Not if you let the cat lick them clean.
And if you time it right your muffins will taste a bit like cat's a$$.

Thanks Bajajudy - I'm going to look for them at the Walmart in La Paz and hope that their panaderia has the same selection as Cabo.
