They must have had a crane to move that wood around. Did you see the size of some of the beams and floor planks and the 1000 lb kitchen table? Creative.

Looks like they have a bank of floor-to-ceiling sliding glass "NanaWalls" that open the front of the house to the ocean. Brrrrr! Those always look really cool in Architectural Digest, but I've gotta wonder how often people actually use them unless they live in Tahiti? Maybe they designed the house while still living in (tropical?) Oaxaca and didn't realize that wind blowing at you off 50-60 degree water is frrrio. In coastal Ensenada I'd be more worried about the house's warming features. Probably great sound proofing with the poop walls tho.

Nice house, but I wonder about the logic of building anything on one of those cliffs around Ensenada. You can see the rubble they're made of in one of the photos, and I still remember the years that half of a house was left up high on one of them after some seismic activity.

But I'm sure they'll enjoy that view while it lasts.

I have lived in some unsual houses in unusual places , I love my American built stick frame ,stuco exterior, sheetrock interior double pane windows built on a cliff 200ft above the water with a 180degree view of Ensenada I have ben here almost 9 years and if it falls in the ocean tomorrow it will have ben worth every penny it cost.:yes::yes::yes:
