Elf I think I see what you are talking about and yes it looks like a pretty good drop off in elevation. It also could be looking worse due to the way
Google Earth process the data. There was quite a discussion about it back in April when we did the lost mission trip. When I moved down to see the El
Volcan wash at ground level the sides of the wash were higher than the road out of the wash which was 20 or more feet higher in real life. I think El
Beau explained what was happening.
Karl I think that is a good ideal.

I have attached a GE kmz file for the Palapa at Playa Bonita, Aqua Verde.
It would be a nice place to meet up with everybody. Let's wait and see who's interested and when we want to camp out there.
Any other suggestions?

I downloaded that kmz file and the marker on the file seems to be off by a few miles from where the palapa actually is. Your marker seems to be up a
wash a few miles from the beach. I found the palapa at N25 31 25.85 and W111 06 08.47 . Maybe what I downloaded is not what you meant to show?

when I open that file it shows the beach with a yellow marker at the end of a short green path. Are you not seeing that?
Your coordinates are correct and so is the yellow marker.....
Not sure what happened to the file. Make sure when you download it and save it - the extension should read .kmz
Let me try and attach it again

There is a cross over road at 25-11-08x111-24-29 that joins the Timbabichi Rd at 25-08-44x111-23-06. It's a series of roads but the crossover appears
to be about 2.5 +/- miles. Unless we need to get supplies in Constitucion we could take this.
I'm using hr-min-sec

Go here and it's a little more than 1/2 way down the page. I make a comment about the wash being higher and a little further down Elbeau comments. I
haven't re-read all the comments on it but I think others made comments too.

I am not opening and saving a file, I just double click on the link and my GE opens to a wash a few miles from the beach with a green marker that sort
of resembles a hot air ballon. following that wash down towards the water it crosses the road to Av. Anyway it is probably something I am doing wrong.
We are obviously talking about the same place. I might meet you guys there because I would like to drive the road from AV to CD Cons. It's nice that
someone improved the road off the graded road down to the beach, it was pretty rough a few years ago. At least it was for my truck and cab over
camper.

Verde towards Constitution.

We rode down this grade to AV about 7yrs ago when it was under construction coming in from Constitucion. It was a complete rock/boulder garden. The
workers were amazed that we could ride through it and were cheering us on, pretty funny.
If you are on that route, there is an alternate "loop" that parallels the main dirt road on the north that was really a great ride. If headed SW take
the right fork at San Juan (on Baja Almanac) through Sta Rosa, La Tortala and then meets back up with the main dirt road near Los Cerritos.

When I download the file to GE, all I get is the waypoint in the sand wash at the beginning of the trail....but thanks for your pic.

I'm leaving for San Ignacio and the Tres Virgenes volcano on Friday morning, just to get some BCS air....and be back home by next week.
How many of us are going to be on this adventure?
