It wouldn't be that shocking to see your own belongings for sale.

You guys are a HOOT!

but let's get cereal, shall we?

Actually, some questions. How many batteries and how much service does this system provide?

Three things about this:
1. What's a CFE ?
2. 720 watts is only 6 amps at 120V. That will power SIX 100 watt bulbs....maybe. And, without batteries, they will go dark when the sun goes down. I know Outback never made an inverter that small. Also need to know who made the charge controller and what kind it is....MPPT?
3. Any solar system five years old is worth nowhere near 3/4 of its new price ($8k/$6K=75%). And, especially so without solar panels and batteries. We also need to know if there are solar panels, how many there are and what kind/size they are. On a 48V system there has to be at least 4 panels (which are always nominally 12V).

This whole "deal" really needs to be examined pretty closely before you spend your pesos.

I might be interested but I need a little more info. Never heard of a 720 watt Outback inverter. Is it possibly 2 3648 inverters for a total of 7200 watts? Or maybe the 720 watts refers to how many solar panels there are. What wattage solar panels and how many of them are there? Which Outback charge controller, mx60, fm60 or fm80?
Thanks
Larry

I can help out a little here since I sold and installed the system.

It's an Outback 3048, 48VDC, 3,000 watt, 120 VAC pure sine-wave inverter. Outback MX60 MPPT Charge controller, and four 180-watt panels. I believe the panels were either Evergreens or Sharps, probably 26 Vmp.

Thanks, BCsTech,
CFE is the acronym for the Mexican power company, and since they don't let you pay any less than the monthly minimum it doesn't work for us to replace our expired battery bank of 8- 6v. batts. The system powered our small house with an electric fridge, lights, etc, and power tools during sunny days. Everything is there except batteries. It may not be worth the asking price, so I'm open to offers, and guarantee that it's in good working condition.
It is sad to give it up, but it is designed for off grid application.
The celestial thing was fun.
