Wow, 19 pages of maps from the Moon Travel Guides of Mexico and Central America.
Now, the fun part... looking for errors!  
Let's look at three (for fun)!
Okay, my favorite subjet (well one of them, anyway)...
1) Guadalupe should be a bit north, as it is along Hwy. 3 to Tecate. Minor issue.
2)Santa Catarina (sic)... the the village is Santa Catarina, but the mission was Santa Catalina (L not N).
3) San Vincente (sic)... Yikes, there no such place, it's San Vicente.
4) Santa Maria... is not along the coast, but midway between Hwy. 1 and the coast. Also, a bit more north.
5) Calamajue.. the mission is not along the coast, and was not a seperate mission, but instead just the first location for Santa Maria.
6) San Borja, should be shown closer to the center of the peninsula, and slighly closer to the gulf side than the Pacific.
7) Santa Gertrudis is north of the state border!
8) Londo was not a seperate mission, but a visita of Loreto. Other books have made that mistake.
9) Dolores is shown at its first location, but it was moved inland to La Pasion. (San Luis Gonzaga should also be further east).
10) 'Ensenada de (las) Palmas' was never a mission, just an early attempt that eventially became Santiago, 3 years later.
11) Todos Santos was never the mission's name, but that of the visita that was originally built there. The first mission was Santa Rosa de las Palmas
and it was replaced by the Pilar de la Paz mission when it moved to Todos Santos. This is far to complicated to show on a map, so Todos Santos is ok!

Well, Jardines Baja is not on the bay, but just a mile west of Hwy. 1... and perhaps after the map was made, but Gypsys and the Wet Buzzard are no
longer there (sadly).
The La Pinta/ Desert Inn is now the Mision Santa Maria Hotel... but that is a pretty new development.

This one is nice... not sure of acuracy, as I haven't been there since 2001. If other Nomads could comment if the hot springs are correctly shown,
that would be great! The paved road into Santiago isn't shown, nor the zoo location (which was open when the map was made)... is on the old main road
to Agua Caliente.

Click on the map you want, and at the bottom of each map is a link: 'open full image to download'... Then use your mouse and click and pick 'Save
Picture As'... in your PC folder of choice... Now, to post it... go to Photobucket, pick upload, pick customize upload options, pick 800 pixels (the
MAX. photo size as requested by Doug), click save, and upload.

No t to denigrate Dk's work, but, it just seems to me that most of the "errors" he notes would probably only be important to someone on foot.

On foot? A wrong mission location or name... What does walking have to do with getting the history correct?
How about Jardines being shown on the shore of the bay of San Quintin?
I was just pointing out the obvious... and remember some maps have mistakes ON PURPOSE!
