How all animals lovers can make a difference

FROM THE BAJA WESTERN ONION E-LETTER, TODAY:

Now, over the next few months, Animal Outreach has a chance to receive a generous support donation provided by Rachael Ray through the ASPCA, and all it takes is a mouse click if you would like to help them. From now until Monday, April 16, your "votes" will help Animal Outreach move into the finals of the ASPCA Challenge. Anyone, living anywhere, can vote every day by visiting

challenge.aspcapro.org/shelter/Animal%20Outreach%20of%20the%20Mother%20Lode

and clicking on the green Vote Today! button. Every vote counts. More about the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge here: challenge.aspcapro.org/about-the-100k-challenge. Thanks so much for your help. - Alan And Debra,

Would like to see what % of the money is actually spent on animals. Most charity- type organizations spend a very high % of the money collected on administrative costs. Administrative cost translation? Salaries for the big mucky-muckies, with a fraction of the $ collected going to the intended cause.:(

captkw that is a real shame, if true, but you do see so many humane society kennels and those animals do have caregivers and are spotlessly clean .... someone is paying for the people, the equipment, the food, the shots etc.

the good thing about the link above (thanks goldhuntress) is that all we have to do is click click click

I think Rachel Ray might have researched to make sure that the funds are getting where they are supposed to ???? One would sure hope so.

I have a 501(c)(3) in the US called Friends of PATA Manzanillo. 100% of it's donations go to animal welfare programs primarily in Manzanillo but we have also helped a program in Guadalajara.

How do I know 100% goes to the programs? I pay the admin costs of Friends of PATA Manzanillo out of my pocket and they accept PayPal

http://www.friendsofpata.org

If you want to see the work of their primary benefactor: http://www.patamanzanillo.com

PATA Manzanillo just completed a 5-day sterilization clinic where 440 animals were sterilized at NO-COST to the owners.
