and you control the masses? you didn't aknowledge (sp?) Obama extending the Bush tax cuts, por k no? it your guy trying to tell me that $40/week is
going to make me feel better. but it is still the Bush tax cut.
i don't need to get my taxes cut. i grew up on the govt teet. moms was on welfare and she went to nursing school, didn't spend enough time with me but
died from diabetes complications at 45 years old. that was 21 years ago.
not that anything above means nothing to anyone else, but i learned a long time ago tha unemployment only pays 1/3 of my bills. granted, i have milked
it a few times in my life-but i was paying into it. i have a buddy who is going on 40 weeks of unemployment and 2 others who maxed out at a year. what
happened to "shovel ready?"
why does the govt ALWAYS gravitate to firefighter, police and teachers going to be the first to be cut? because they are the most bloated segments? i
don't know, but i remember this crap since i was a kid. i have been in construction all my life, with a half decade as an EMT/FF. i never hear ANYONE
b!tching about all of the construction jobs that DO NOT EXIST today. why is that? because San Diego has next to zero union construction jobs versus
the public servant unions?
BTW, i love me a cold Yellowtail Pale Ale. it's my favorite brew...... |
I don't watch, listen, or follow one network. I try to think for myself and I doubt you will ever hear me claim a party or a label although my voter
reg card is Democrat.
As for extending the tax cuts, I was peeed off...still am....I think it was Obama's only chance for some sort of compromise. Feel free to point out
any compromise from the Republicans. I mean Boner is a joke. If tax cut were the answer then where are the jobs? How is it that the top 1% continue
to rake in the profits yet they are not hiring? I don't get how so many continue to support this?
As for education funding...just curious how many students were in your classes as a kid? I'm guessing 25 max....I'm lucky to have classes between
35-40 students per class. As for the construction jobs, I had plenty of remodel work planned...until I got the pink slip....
Woody, I get the feeling you and I are more alike than different...we both are hard-working, pay our bills, and just want to get along with
others....I firmly believe things went way south when all these cable tv shows started airing from both the left and right....they are falsely
empowering the Simpletons with talking points. We need to come back to the table as a country and fix problems and not worry about the next election.

David, enough of the economy this and the economy that. Why don't you explain to everyone the real reason you don't have a job. What happened to
the last one you had?

i agree Bud. i grew up a democrat for sure, but in the past 10 years or so they have lost their minds..... i voted for Slick Willie. i actually went
to Sacred Heart Academy in OB and Collier/Pt Loma HS. i remember 32 +/-. i got ZERO from school other than c's and d's. it took me a long time to
balance surfing/f'ing up/college to get to where i'm STILL payiing off a student loan with ZERO chance of ever using my computer network degree. IBM
only wanted to pay me $8/hr to start! F-U!!! I went back to swinging a hammer.....
behind the screen, i know you're one of the good guys, Zac. i live paycheck to paycheck just like the rest of us. i keep telling Bia that we better
just enjoy it today because we'll regret it later if we didn't.
i hope junior has it better than we do!

Is there a false reason... what do you mean by 'real' reason?
You know Ralph, my life is pretty open... you know far more about me than I do you... You have ignored all my attempts at friendship here on Nomad and
are intent on smearing me for Lord knows what reason...
In all openess (not that you have any right to know)...
I own my own business, and have the past 15 years, as well for some years earlier in my life... and have worked for irrigation companies between those
times when they have asked me to help them improve their business.
I was invited by a company to work for them, but wasn't told what... just irrigation related... It turned out it was as a counter salesman, what I did
for many years (but 20+ years ago)... After becoming injured in my leg, I couldn't stand for long periods and they didn't have any modified duties
they could offer. So, it ended...
The next day, I got a call from a past customer who needed some new sprinklers installed, and I made in one day what took about 2 weeks at that job to
make... So, it seems my path is to be my own boss at least for irrigation. I am open to other opportunities, should they arrive.

David, Not smearing you. Just don't like it when you blame the government for your problems. In reality you demanded breaks every hour and a chair
to sit at while at the counter and well...the business ownership...... I think it would be great if you could make a go of it with your business,
but you continually blame its lack of success on government regulation and taxation etc.
David. take control of your life. Don't blame others. you will be happier and I won't have anything but good things to say about you. Just like my
good bud FishinRich.

I doubt the Simpletons would ever read the following but I'm certain you will: http://www.skymachines.com/US-National-Debt-Per-Capita-Perce...
Let's see, Clinton and Obama had the smallest increase in National Debt during their respective terms.....

So Boxer is a fascist? Or is she a real left wing liberal? She cannot be both.
Personally, I see this as an attempt to prevent scofflaws from fleeing the country without paying what they legally owe.
The no passport required to flee the US is a bogus argument simply because fleeing to Mexico or Canada does not get you to an extradition-free
country.
As for the Senate and budgets and Obama, let's focus on a couple of hard facts. Number one, although the Dems have a plurality in the Senate, it is
not enough to prevent filibuster. And that is the treat the Repubs have made at every turn. Add to that the fact that Mitch McConnell went on record
after the Obama election saying that the number one priority of his party was to ensure that Obama was not reelected. McConnell and Boehner have
worked long and hard at that; the welfare of the nation be damned. |
That is not the reason.
Call your Democratic senator and ask them why they won't bring forward a budget.
Harry Reid is protecting some of his flock from the scorn of their constituents if they attempt to pass a budget that is not serious and continues
huge deficits.
That is why the budget Obama put forward, got dumped on arrival with ZERO democratic votes. No one wanted to touch it for fear of voter backlash.
Paul Ryan puts forth a budget and is hung from the yardarm for being serious about the spending.
It's unfortunate the liberal Senate is not. |
Please explain where the revenue will come from to cover more tax cuts for the rich? How does this cut the deficit? It doesn't...just more right
ring rhetoric to appease the simpletons and reward the one percent. |
Less taxes and less regulations would lead to a more robust economic growth, which in turn would lead to a growing revenue stream.
A growing revenue stream with LEVEL or reduced spending, would end the cycle of year to year deficits.
No amount of taxation, on one section of taxpayers alone, will do anything to bring the cycle of "hope and change" deficit spending under control.
When you have to resort to personal insults like the Hook did, you have lost all your credibility to have an adult conversation.

Huh? I demanding nothing... why do you feel the need to make up stuff about me? More unkindness when I was leveling with you.
They were not wishing to provided modified work ordered by the doctor so my injury could heal. The modified order was to allow sitting between
performing duties... I had nerve damage and my leg was going numb, in pain, and itching. I didn't ask for anything... they decided not to keep me. I
tried to deal with it on my own, and took more pain meds those days than in my entire life. I liked the staff where I was and I even had a customer I
helped do a design for stop by to tell me his drip system worked great, to say thanks, and for no other reason.
I have 2 appointments today, my phone is ringing again, so sadly, less time on Baja Nomad (lol)...

Not a chance. Ross Peroit took us down that road a few years back and we got Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton's administration wasn't anything to be proud
of, but you've got to admit, it's a quantum loop above what we've got now.

funny thing is, is they're all the same. they talk a good story to the people and then bend over for the lobbyists. it doesn't seem to matter who gets
in. Obama had the country transfixed and has done very little compared to what his campaign speeches said then.....

obama made great strides in fixing health care. but sad that GOP wants to go back to broken system. GOP wants health care to be affordable only to
people enrolled in large corporate plans, wants small biz and independants to be denied coverage or offered coverage only at ridiculously inflated
rates. GOP is stuck on stupid when they focus on mandate that people should carry insurance.
obama did masterful job of keeping bush housing implosion at recession-level instead of depression-level. stimulus worked, despite GOP's stupid
rhetoric about debt. would you rather have debt or total economic melt down??????????
repeal of dont ask dont tell was nice touch.
avoidance of white trash palin family in white house was perhaps best benefit of obama admin.
