Delivery to DavidE in Bahia Asunción Needed!
We have a friend with some Hella 4000 driving lights that he wants to give to DavidE so that he can avoid those killer baches on the way home from the
doctor.
We no longer have a pick-up truck, so our space is EXTeREMELY limited as we already have a pile of stuff to deliver to others in BA. And, we are not
sure when we will be able to return right now.
So, if you are headed that way, we could meet you at the I-5 freeway by Imperial Beach. And if you are headed straight south without a stop at BA, we
have a friend in Vizcaino where the lights could be left for David to pick up.
If you can help, please send us a U2U

Acadist and Bajaboy----THANKS.
We MAY have another Nomad headed down this week who might be able to make the delivery. We will let you know as we still need to pick up the lights
from the donor.
We want to keep all options open right now!

We had a ride for the lights for Wednesday, but the donor is working out of town and cannot get them to us before then. DANG We had hoped to get the
lights there very soon.
However, now we will keep the other offers open, continue to look for ones headed down sooner either to BA, or passing by Vizcaino.
DavidE Anyone who could get that god awful road really fixed, would quickly become a local hero and legend. :-)

The Following Is A Pipe Dream
I dream of finding someone down here with a 4X4 with a good tow rope. He can follow me out to the road and I shall take my digital camera.
I am going to park the front wheels in one of those asteroid-impact size potholes and take 14MP images of my rocker panels striking the edge of the
asphalt crater. The angle of the car should also make the shot more impressive.
Then I intend to bury the nose of the car in one of those five foot deep wind blown sand drifts. Multiple images, including those showing my disabled
USA license plates and me on a Canadian Crutch (this is not a falsehood).
The third will show the SCT sign just west of the Asuncion/Bahia Tortugas intersection. You know, the one bragging of such a good job SCT has done
'improving" the highway.
I am going to send four mail packets. One to the Mexico DF SCT administration who will not change when political parties do, after the summer's
election.
The second will go to SECTUR the federal tourism agency in Mexico City
The third will be addressed to Señor Presidente Felipe Calderon Hinosa
The fourth will be addressed to the PRI presidential candidate Señor Peña Nieto who looks like a shoo-in as the next president.
All the packets will have 8 X 11 images on glossy paper, and a full explanation of multiple near disasters suffered by an innocent tourist who simply
wanted to visit Mexico and spend a lot of money (I will not tell them my definition of what i consider to be a lot of money").
I don't know if this will work. I figure all the work, all the photo images printing which must be purchased at high cost down here, would still
amount to much less than a blown tire or my services at the local panteon.

So Dah-veed, you are in Asuncion now?
I have some photos of Hella 4000's installed and running if you would like some idea about them... Mine are pencil (spot) beams for distance (vs.
driving beams, which light up more area, closer to the truck).
Mine were 100 watt halogen bulbs, but I converted them to brighter HID bulbs that use only 35 watts.

My F150 had a terminal rattle after that road last year. It was so bad that I let her get hit and totaled it 2 weeks ago. Everyone is fine but no more
rattles in her new car
