We lost our first one exactly the same way. It's a whale shark conspiracy, I tell ya. I keep thinking that someday I'm going to be "snork-ing" down in the south bay in Bahia and see it down there.

One hint, we've tied a small orange buoy to the one we have now. It's saved us a couple of times from adding to the lost ladder count.
