I am looking forward to trying out my Navigon Mexico GPS app for my iphone in a couple of weeks when going to Gonzaga. It does not require a 3G data signal. All of the map data & POI data resides on the phone. I have Navigon USA and it works great. BTW. They also have Navigon for Android.

I have yet to upgrade to a smartphone. That said, I am on several Facebook lists for 'Gente de Tijuana' and they post the most interesting items on a daily basis.
