Kent mangos ripen

Best time of the year. The big Kent mangos are beginning to ripen and one of my Mexican neighbors gives me sacks of the big beauties.

Best perfume flavor of them all. One of my favorites!

Jorge, These are the honey sweet ones I get by the bucket full from my neighbor. Dry them, freeze them peeled and sliced. Great in home made ice cream.

Saw a TV special once about on old man in India who grafted to a single mango tree 1,000 varieties of the fruit. The whole idea seems difficult to get my head around. How did he (and others) decide/verify/identify?

Jealous!
We had a few while we were down in Cabo, but I can just taste those!
I have a couple from my grocery store, but we left too early for the harvest!
I 'm going to make some Mango bread with mine.
