What's the price of that fantasy-mobile? You may have to pawn your new camera for this purchase.

Why be a slave to 9 MPG, regardless of it's Baja worthiness?

Those are badass and probably the best all around vehicle for camping and exploring baja.. are you getting diesel or gas? My B.I.L bought the 4x4
quigley version and has over 200k on the 6.0 diesel and he gets around 13 mpg and burns biodiesel.
Shouldn\'t one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check or Sec.8 housing?
........... I had to pass one to earn it for them!

It should get a lot better than 9 mpg. My long-sold 4x4 van motorhome with 7.4L gasser got 8-9 mpg and it was much bigger than a Sportsmobile. With
diesel the mpg will be even higher. My current 4x4 MH 26 ft. gets 13 mpg with the Cummins 5.9.

Sorry I woke up from my dream. These are all custom and from what I can tell they start at about $60K and up. Even used with 20K to 50K miles they
are in the $50k range
But a girl/guy can dream

| That's ridiculous that you could receive a tax deduction for buying a total luxury item like this.

LOL.
If I wanted one, I'd build it myself or have someone (U-Joint) do the build for half the price.

I am looking for a Econoline 4x4 to convert. Since we are both in Fenix I will send it over to you to work on

Sportsmobiles are pretty swanky.
If I were choosing a vehicle all over again I'd be sorely tempted to start with a late 90s E350 Coachmen conversion, add a locking rear diff, small
lift, aggressive tires and call it a day. A 4wd conversion would be doable too, but still, I bet you could have a pretty decent 2wd camper van for
under $10k that could handle most baja roads.
