Nomad's Pledge for Cardiovascular Health

We all love the luscious seafood and the SEE food, tacos, birria...the list of Baja delicacies go on and on, not to mention a cerveza here and there. But what are you doing for your cardiovascular health? A 30 minute daily experience of some type of cardiovascular challenge is vital to getting the blood flowing, tuning up your heart and lungs, and growing that backup generator, collateral circulation. What can you pledge to do everyday to improve your health? I plan to walk a half hour on the beach daily. Why do I bring these topics up? Because I forget like everyone else. And need to be reminded. A tenant of mine has congestive heart failure, weighs 340 lbs, and is 6'4". He told me he has given up. I told him start to walk up and down the stairs 2 or 3 times a day to start. The point is: Keep moving, no matter what size or shape you are!! You don't have to ride miles on a bike to achieve this, but how about a Zumba class? I am curious to see if any of the Nomaders have an exercise routine. Keyboard commanding will not be included!!!

EDoc.
Had 4 way bypass 16 years ago, since then I eat low fat, start my day with 2 mile walk then walk everywhere I can, in supermarkets take the first parking space then walk. I stay active every day, my weight is the same as it was when 40, everything else what it should be, and know I've built up my collateral circulation. My wife has learned the low fat cooking as she knows it is helping her also.. One more thing I stay off of OFF TOPIC:

Strive For The Ideal, But Deal With What\'s Real.

Every day is a new day, better than the day before.(from some song)

Lord, Keep your arm around my shoulder and your hand over my mouth.

“The sincere pursuit of truth requires you to entertain the possibility that everything you believe to be true may in fact be false”

Early surf session with all the other old guys trying to keep the kicker going.
IB pier P.E. club (physical ed. ...remember High School?)

Standing around the showers at IB pier the other day rinsing off the sand, some of the crew were talking about a new Kia Sol sitting in the Daisy Ave. parking lot one of them just got. Conversation went something like this;

How's that new car of yours?

Great, love the mileage, power and I can fit my 9-2 board in it!
And another thing, I love the life time warranty!

Life time warranty? you mean the 100,000 10 year thing?

Well yea, but when your 65 everything comes with a lifetime warranty!
Even the green banannas I bought yesterday!

I just love surfing with these guys!
