Sounds great and what a pretty fur baby -- hope he is getting on well with Ron's puppies and kitties!

I also hope Brad had some insurance to help out??? But the best thing is that Brad and Zac were not injured and then they were fortunate enough to
connect with Ron.

Brad only had liability insurance on his truck although they will cover the cost of his tow bill to San Quintin. Even with the loss of his truck, I'd
say he is pretty lucky. We are glad to be able to help and really enjoying the company of Zac - he's a great dog...

Zac looks so sad, is he watching his "dad" drive away?

Nomads/Amigos are the best, this from someone that was stranded with a 5yr. old G-daughter and 10yr. old son years ago, I couldn't believe how many
total strangers came to our aid. Our trip was not ruined, and we made many lifetime friends with that breakdown, some of whom have since passed away.
Never doubt the power and love of Baja people!

Hello everyone, just an update, back down with a new vehicle, have my gear and my dog, so everything worked out well. Just wanted to thank everyone
for their help and advice, especially Ron and his wife. Wonderful people, and I'm very glad I was able to meet them.
And Blanca, to finally answer your question, no only liability, it was an older Toyota, and the mexi insurance company only offered me liability, ya
win some, ya lose some...

Hey, Brother. Come on down and continue your trip. I've got a place for you to stay in a beautiful part of BCS. If you are able to keep on with
your trip I'm sure you would be thrilled to meet more Nomads. Glad things are back in order. Sale. Tio

Absolutly impressed with this site and thread. I have registered because of this thread and am a FNG to the site, but I will keep my eye out if anyone
needs help in the future. Stoked on Brad and Zac being okay and finding the help they needed so quickly.

Garner, thanks for your comment and welcome aboard. It reminds me that Nomads, with all their differences, seem to be a breed of people poised to be
of assistance. THE LIST, to be found elsewhere on this forum, is clear indication of the levels of hyper-preparation adopted by some. Being prepared
and knowing how to rescue oneself easily translates into an opportunity to assist another.

With conscious thought, for years I have carried a spark plug tester, and a big assortment of glass fuses in my kit, even though my diesel uses
neither.

The shadow, I judge, is the macho thing about being top dog for being able to lay hands on the critical (fill in the blank) which facilitates the
'rescue' when someone is stranded and fearful.

I don't think it came as any surprise to Ron's friends and cyber-friends that he modeled compassionate generosity.

Glad it all worked out. His post started out sounding like an email I got from Ghana, recently. I am glad this was resolved; the guy from Ghana is
still waiting for some money from me.
