Happy Birthday, Barry! ...What Dennis said!

May this birthday be in living color rather than being frozen in sepia tone.

Many thanks folks, and especially to David K for embarrassing me :tumble::lol::O (just kidding, David)

We hope to be back in Borrego Springs in mid-March this next year, and stay a month.

We do hope you have a great birthday and many, many more!

BTW --- there is soon going to be two dedicated liberals living in your son's neck of the woods. We are moving! Who knows, maybe we can find another back road around there that you have not traveled----but that won't be easy!

Celebrate --remember that reaching a healthy 75 is certainly better than the alternative!

Wow, that's great Diana------moving to God's Country is always a good idea. There are LOTs of back country roads in Owens Valley and environs that we have yet to travel. My son recently purchased a Ford Raptor to do more extensive exploring with. My son and I have lots of "liberal" friends but we seldom discuss politics with any of them-----none of us like the stress. :tumble:

My son lives in tiny Independence------and LOVES it!!! Let me know where you finally settle.

Thanks for the well wishes on my b-day, and what you say about age is so true.

And Captkw., it HAS been cold and snowy, but the sun came out today and we got up to the low 50's--------being a desert-rat, I am a little tired of all the rain, so "sun" is always welcome.

Best, Barry

Barry,

Downtown Big Pine, here we come; just a bit larger than the county seat of Independence. Unless the crazed loan underwriter continues to come up with more bizarre conditions, we have bought a great little house on 1/2 acre in the downtown part of Big Pine. Great views of all the snow covered Sierras on one side and the wonderful Whites on the other side. High enough for a bit of snow, but low enough to forget about the snow shovel. And as you so well know, there is way too much to explore all times of the year --- desert and mountains. And it is only 15 miles to the great Thai Restaurant at the Bishop airport.

We have always loved all of that area, so we finally said, why not?

OK, our paths may cross in person and not just in cyber space, and NO POLITICS allowed.

Now, celebrate, celebrate your birthday!

Well! That is a nasty string stopper. :barf:

It is interesting to note that Barry, himself, who is conservative but a very nice gentleman did not feed into this troll. I did because I simply cannot let it go by. (I know, I know..."Don't feed the trolls").

Barry, who holds a very conservative ideology much the same as the nasties over in OT, displays none of the nastiness that this poster and others over in OT do display. Barry is more interested in presenting a logical case for his views (most to which I am opposed), without rancor.

Another irony: Many of the people who have wished Barry a Happy Birthday in this string are...get ready...hold your noses...Liberals!!!:lol::lol::lol::P

So again, Barry...Happy Birthday!

And now I am going over to OT to wish Barry a Happy Birthday. :light::cool:
