Des died of a heart attack while participating in a motorcycle Enduro race in the Tecate/Rancho Neji area. He was a great guy and a good ambassador
for Baja and off road motorcyclists.
There are two of these memorials, one on the El Compadre road and another near where he died.
RIP Des.
