Ratoblanco, welcome to the site!

I found out that i don't have to teach on Friday since the celebrations in town start then! Yahoo!

Since i got Father's day backwards, i might as well
take the opportunity to wish everyone a happy Valentine's Day. Which is TODAY in Brazil.

Come visit La Bocana

And always remember, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by those moments that take our breath away.

Today I remember the many fun times in Baja with my kids...

Here's a couple:

First family Baja trip, 1992:

Hiking the Camino Real with Chis (Nov. 2003)...

Teaching Sarah to drive my Tacoma at Nuevo Mazatlan, and exploring the sulfur mine (Feb., 2004)...

2006... exploring the region of El Rosario with Chris:

Nice we we can get together, as we get older...

Father's Day, 2009:

Father's Day, 2010:

My son came up to spend some time with me after work today... it was a nice visit. My daughter and granddaughter are out-of-state and I miss them not being here this year.

Father's Day, 2013:

the village was very quiet today with most of the raza recovering from the Dia del Padre festivities. We celebrated with lots of dads at Juan's uncle's casa, family and friends, food, TKT and Juan's band....a classic day!

Bajaboy and family arrived with instruments...all the kids got a maracas lesson

Mikayla loves to dance...the other kids were really checking her out trying to figure out if the little blonde girl's blue bunny ears were real!

and of course there was the cake and the MORDIDA

Shari,

That was the same front porch Juan's daughter took us to the first night we arrived at Asuncion. I came over to your place asking if any restaurants were still open and she just said "Come on. Follow us". And we ended up here.

yes Igor...that front porch has seen more than it's share of fiestas n fried chicken! Many a Nomad has shaken their booty there too. Tio Javier's parties are legendary in these parts.
