1990 Suburban Diesel FOR SALE
I call it The Big Red Beast. This was my husband's toy and he is lo longer with us.
It’s a Fire Engine Red 1990 Suburban – Diesel engine, 4WD machine. This monster will go through anything. The odometer says 193,769 but I don’t
think that takes into account the engine being replaced before we bought it from the original owner.
She has a fairly new paint job and new upholstery. New batteries (last week new). 3 bench seats so it can also operate as a school bus ☺ and
that 3rd seat pops out making room for anything you could possibly want to carry. Racks on top and equipped for a hitch as well.
This is the ultimate Baja vehicle.
She needs a little bit of attention – the driver’s side rear view mirror “fell” off…just the mirror part. The mechanism is all still there, just
needs a mirror glued on. The windows are tough to roll up and down – minor repair for anyone. And the passenger front tire has a very slow leak that
I’ve been too lazy to take in and have repaired.
Clear title, have all the maintenance records and she comes with a car cover.
The Big Red Beast can be yours for just $2300 USD. That’s a steal if you check prices on line.
Located near La Bufadora in Baja Calif, just across the bay from Ensenada

Hola Lionel, It would have to be a 3/4 ton - a 1/2 ton's frame would not handle the torque of a diesel engine.

Do you think a 3/4 ton would have hub caps? 8 lug wheels?

My bigass dodge truck had hubcaps, Wiley.
I think Bajaguy/Terry rode south with Vince in "The Beast." Maybe he'll see this and fill us in on details.

Yes in that era they had hubcaps. the Suburban is one clean vehicle you would be hard pressed to find one that old that clean And for all you

Yes, I had an 88 Chevy PU 3/4 ton with hub caps and 6 lug wheels. HD versions had heavier axles, brakes, and 8 lugs.

We have a 89 V2500 3/4 ton 4x4 manual 4 speed Suburban for our new expedition vehicle and love it, It has factory hub caps over the 8 lugs.
If it's a 3/4 ton that's a great deal. If you need or desire the room they a unbeatable.
Has the transmission been replaced and if so how many miles ago ?

Yes, this too is a V2500, 3/4 ton, 4X4 automatic with 8 lugs. And as JP mentioned, it's a nice clean vehicle.
Just do it!

Never "rode south" but been in it several times. The interior was redone and looks sharp. It's a good runner and a perfect Baja vehicle.
If you added a roof rack, some brush guards and lights in front and a tire rack/gas can holder in the back you would have an outstanding Baja
rig....great vehicle.........and the price is right!!!!
