Assumptions, Speculations and Revelations

As is SO often the case, things are NOT always what they first seem to be.

And, as news develops, there will be those who can Crow and those who might Eat Crow.

As a Rule..................

The Cawing or Consumption is usually (properly) a reflection not on the Horrific acts themselves, but an assessment regarding the resulting accuracy with which various protagonists weighed the developing evidence.

But, it's correct to say that "I Told you SO" is generally (but not always) an inappropriate response.

We simply look forward to a full airing of the FACTS and a realistic analysis examining the involvement of ALL parties.

As a lesson for future events.

In the United States, one is innocent until proven guilty. Since he is dead, I don't think that he will be tried in a court of law. Any Nomad lawyers out there can shed some light if the insurance can or cannot be paid when he was shot dead before going to court?

he was "shot dead" because he (supposedly) fired at federal officers, which the last time I looked was a crime......don't need no trial

I don't think a kidnapper needs to be found guilty in court while the victim is still around to tell the story.

I don't think they will pay. He was killed as a result of committing a crime or several crimes .

They said he was killed by the FBI when he fired on them. I would say it was Suicide by Cop. But I am no lawyer and I didn't stay at the Holiday Inn Express last night either.:lol:

THE LATEST

The family of the alleged kidnapper are calling for D.N.A. test on the dead boy and his Sister. they think their relative the kidnapper and murderer may be the biological father of the two kids. In their mind that's the reason he would leave them such a huge amount of money.112 thousand dollars.
that kind of says where they are coming from geeeeesh 112 thousand in todays world is chump change.

It's an insurance policy from his job. Not like he went out and bought it.
Anyway, if he is the kids' father, he was kinda incestuous, I would say. Fathers aren't supposed to have a "crush" on their daughters.

Reminds me....I think I'll watch "Deliverance" this evening. I'm due for a "Dueling Banjos" fix.

From my brief online research it appears that the beneficiary will not get payment as the insured died in a commission of a crime.

And that is worth about 2cents. ;-)
