I'm glad a few of you got to see it. It's a good thing I'm 3 hours ahead of everyone so that I could make the announcement.

Question 3 was a picture of a common cactus. As I recall the answer was "what is a prickly pear cactus?"

Time ran out and they didn't get to finish all 6 questions in the category. Here is a link to other Jeopardy-Baja related items ... https://www.google.com/search?q=jeopardy+baja&ie=utf-8&a...
  fficial
I'll post this separately also, but I shall be returning to Baja in late October dental work in Rosarito Beach and a 2-3 week road trip. Hoping to
make the Punta Eugenia-Asuncion-La Bocana-Abreojos circuit before heading down to Playas Pacificas near La Paz.

Playas Pacificas? We have been there ...

When in Abreojos, make sure you visit us in La Bocana! If you shedule a visit for a Saturday, join us for Happy Hour at our new local eatery:

Check out the new Bocana Adventures Restaurant on the beach and ask for a margarita and cheesehamburger (i know it should be Mexican fare but trust
me, the cheeseburgers are great). There are cabanas for rent at $50 a night ....

I've called them "quesoburguesas" a thousand times in restaurants around here and got nothing but confused stares and corrections. I started to think
it was a dirty word or something.
 Anyway.....it's "hamburguesa con queso."
 Where's the ham?

In L.A. Bay taco stands, a carne asada taco with cheese is a 'quesataco'!

Here too. In sad fact, my favorite quesataco joint in Ensenada, Mk Taco, recently burned down.
 I'm in mourning.

 Hi Blanca,

A visit to La Bocana was totally intended along the way. Spend a night. Eat well. Hamburgesas. New friends. Several margaritas.

Details to follow in a separate post.

You mean the K in MkTaco? I think the K is correct. They used to be called McTaco, but when McDonalds came to town, they made the little taco stand
cease and desist from further use of the "Mc" .
Kinda petty of Mac, I believe, but true.

Reminds me of the Trivial Pursuit game of yrs. back,
a ? I got was ' What body of water separates Baja
from the Mexican Mainland' ? I jumped on that faster than DENNIS going thru the doors at Sharkeys, as I proudly
blurted out the Sea of Cortez, at which point I was read
the correct answer, and would have known it if not
my c-ckyness, the Gulf of California

A new thread: Baja Trivia may be fun (again... as we did this often back on Amigos de Baja)... Lorenzo de Baja, David E and myself were frequent
contributors of trivia questions...

Like when was the last reported eruption of Tres Virgenes volcano?

What crop were the English colonists trying to grow in San Quintin?

What is the source of the word Coromuel, the local name for a sea breeze in La Paz?
