Lopez report:

Started raining heavy at 3:30 am and after about an hour went down to just a steady downpour. . .

Still steady and only a little wind.

And very dark.

The day started with a heavy, soaking rain in Loreto, and it is still drizzling.
The sky is dark and gray.

About three minutes of moderate rain at about 5am in San Carlos, Sonora.

Much more on the way, it appears.

Good to know, Mula.
What happens on your side of the peninsula indicates what's coming down the mountains towards Mulege.

Well I lied, it was dark and I didn't hear anything during the night.
Very nice drizzle now. 9am.

Oh geeze....thanks all for the rain reports...keep them coming.
OK so no laundry today and I'll go put the fly on my tent bedroom and bring the cushions in.

Baja Blanca....let us know when it starts raining in La Bocana! We have partly sunny skies still but looks rather ominous up your way.

Pouring hard again - sideways - and wind coming up at 9am in Lopez.

The river of the street in front of our house is rising.

Still very dark.

Just had a call from Constitucion. The streets are full or water and it hasn't quit raining all night and so far today.

No school and only few places open there.

Y'all hang in there on the west coast; the main center of the storm is still offshore and won't reach land 'till probably later today/night or early tomorrow morning, so more water coming. Be safe. Looks like Mulege is going to get over 2" of rain in the next 48 hours. It ain't a hurricane, but it's nasty with winds and lots of moisture, and a smaller one being a few days behind it w/ a 50% chance of following this one's path (Priscilla). Buena Suerte to all.
{edit} forgot to mention, landfall looks to be just north of Mag Bay for the center of the storm for now, unless it turns; Constitution and Lopez Mateos are going to catch most of it.

Just back from the beach and a recon.
The arroyo is full and running.
Although we didnt walk down to the boca, it looks like the estero broke through and from the looks of the current in the arroyo, no surprise.
My swimsuit looks like I went swimming when in fact I only walked in the rain. And it was cool with the slight breeze from the north.
Checked a container in the yard and it looks like we had about 2, maybe 3 inches of rain and it has started again.
Jeez, I thought it was green before. My yard is already a jungle.
Looks like this is a pretty wet storm.
Get out the buckets.

Hope that none of you down there have to go through what the people in Calgary, Alberta Canada did when the two rivers running through downtown went over their banks this summer. All of downtown was closed off for 4 days and water in streets was 2-3 foot deep.

Damn! That Boosh fella just got a lot smarter and don't choke on the Chow Mein  Steady light rain in Loreto so the dirt roads are nice and slick. Stepped out this morning and BAM... went straight down like stepping on glare ice. Glad we drove back from La Paz yesterday.

Looks like the mass of the highest cloud tops have crossed onto the peninsula, west of La Paz.

Sure seems like Todos Santos would be getting drenched right now. Any reports?

This satellite pic is only 2 hours old at the time of this posting. It shows who's gonna get what and where, as well as (now updated to a) Tropical Storm Priscilla on Octave's heels to the southwest.

Folks in the Estrero Gringolandias of Mulege better get out their muckin' boots. Hope y'all on the west coast are a-ok.

Yeah, but that old tech sat photo doesnt really tell much. No indication of the coldness of the cloud tops and/or how high they are.

What are you still using the classic interface on Underground? No Wundermap, dude.
