6:03 a.m. Tuesday Oct. 15 report from Mulege Pueblo
Still dark here, can't see the river and haven't spoken with anyone in town, so nothing definitive.
4:30 a.m. the last squall out in the bay, light wind from the east.
6:00 a.m. about an hour before sunrise, no rain, cloud cover but can see intermittent white clouds underneath darkness above covering the sky; winds
have changed and are coming gently from the west now.
Will update when the sun comes up and we can phone someone in town-- still too early.
Russ, since you've asked for more experienced prognosticators, or sumpthin' like that, well just be careful for what you ask:
My friends in Hawaii have been dancing the Mexican Hatdance Hula for us here in Baja.
In turn, I've danced the Aloha Cumbia for them as all of the Islands are under 24-hour flood watch.

my buenos dias a todos....looks like we are in the clear now by russ's sat photo...hope all of you are not too soggy over on "the other side". Ne'er a
drop of rain here, it remained hot and sunny all day yesterday and a starry still night last night....darn, we were hoping for a gentle
soak....laundry today!

Lopez this morning:
71 degrees with 90 % humidity and a slight breeze.
The wind howled most of the night.
The hard rain stopped yesterday about 4:30 and then just had sprinkles and showers until 9 or so.
My mop bucket ended up with 4 inches of water in it.
Glad Priscilla is going the other way!
On edit: Looking forward to road reports.

Awaiting word from friends along the river in Mulege this morning.. Have heard nothing since late yesterday so internet may be down in the bottomland.
We are supposed to head that way this weekend and need to know if we need to bring more buckets... or squeeges.... ha
28 degrees in the high country this morning so have to live with cold or maybe come tread water...

Residents of Colonia Zaragosa will be driving around the north end of the airport to get into Loreto again for a while.

yes, Mulege is OK
Walked on the north river road this morning. We're soggy, but all's well. Strong winds from the west still. Charts indicate no more rain, and I feel
that, too.
Sorry for the damage in Loreto again.
I'm sure efforts to locate the downed airplane in Los Comondus will begin today. May this turn out well with injuries minor.

I went out to checkout the road into Chivato this morning. There are only a couple of really muddy places that are stopping 2x4 trucks and they are
being pulled out quickly. The bad spots are just on the Palo Verde side of the estuary. The more traffic the worse it is getting. The estuary itself
is no problem.
Here's some pics:

There were still people looking at the buried trucks a few minutes ago. The trucks in the fore and mid field are still there but the truck in the
background is gone. Oh, the buried D8 Cat from last time is still there. It
was a nice little scene this morning with locals and their kids watching the water flow and the folks trying to cross.
