Rancho Olivares: Grapes vs. Concrete

Editor’s note: This is the proposed residential and tourist development, just north of Ensenada, in the Valle de Guadalupe wine valley. Most of the winemakers in the area are against the development due to the lack of water, other infrastructure and potential damage to the wine valley’s production, culture and environment. https://www.facebook.com/porunvalledeverdad is the protest organization against the development.

Rancho Olivares, El Valle de Guadalupe

Location: Valle de Guadalupe, Ensenada, BC, Mexico Size: 900 Ha

The exciting story of Rancho Olivares is full of romance, work and visionaries. It is a unique and exceptional, surrounded by a hundred thousand olive trees that highlight the history, community and land inheritance.

Ensenada and the Valle de Guadalupe is located in one of the most dynamic regions of the Americas. It is located within walking distance from the border with the United States of America as well as metropolitan areas of Tijuana-Tecate-Mexicali, Rosarito, Ensenada and San Diego-Los Angeles, two of the big cities leading the economic development of border region. It is for this reason that the Guadalupe Valley benefits from a strategic position close to the main areas of growth.

The morphological and landscape of this unique enclave, and uses traditionally presented in the Guadalupe Valley, have shaped the development of this project.

The best and most demanding physical structuring principles of social and merging applied to agricultural uses with residential, commercial catering establishments and have been the benchmark of this design, which will provide excellent services to residents, and numerous, diverse and attractive opportunities business and employment in the region.

The Wine Estates, are the result of the integration of landscape values, especially the vineyards, with quality architecture of the wineries and residential property.

The Olive Estates, constitute the merger between the agricultural landscape inherited from the former olive farm, with the value of a fully integrated residential architecture in the environment that surrounds it. Communities farms consist of 0.5 to 1 ha, arranged around an inner ring of communication. The owners may, if they wish, obtain production of olive oil on your property existing at the mill in Rancho Olivares, through careful and traditional process.

Also, the Olive Estates have carefully distributed sports equipment within the project, a short distance from each of the communities.

Like Olive Wine Estates or Estates, estates offer the owner the opportunity to experiment with farming the place, mostly olive groves and vineyards.

The plots, ranging in size from one to two acres, can be configured to suit the client with olive and / or vineyards, providing a complete farming experience.

Las Haciendas have different equipment in a nearby environment, so that they can be satisfied all the needs that may arise during your stay at Rancho Olivares.

The amount of money the Wine Conglomerates have will ensure this project is killed.

If there is a lack of water, I wonder why the vineyards keep getting larger and larger?

Let's see who understands this Spanish wordplay on the proposed Valle de Guadalupe development.

Any wagers on which development is first to open?
A) Eldrick's Punta Brava(aka Campo Elin)
B) Pellagio(aka Rancho Olivares)
?

They even stole the logo. I guess the "P" stands for plagiarized

Pellagio is ultimate Valle de Guadalupe hotel experience. Make your luxury hotel reservations at the home of the famous dancing fountains, award-winning fine dinning
