Yep, those WERE the days!!! Makes my heart flutter!!! This was about the time I first started going down into Baja CA with my Mom and Aunt------I
was 14 in '52.

Great! In 1952 I went exploring mainland Mexico with my Dad. We had a 1950 Olds and he let me drive much of the way. I was 11.

When my parents had the good sense to move from Butte, MT to San Diego in 1953 I was 16 and had a 1940 Packard. Used to get 4 friends to each chip in
fifty cents for gas (at 19 cents/gal) and tell Mom we were going to the Fri. night football game. Half hour later we were sitting in a bar in Tijuana.
Never got caught.
