Trade two land sailers for a quad.

There is good beach sailing in Ensenada, on the dry lakes, and here on a central pacific beach which shall not be named!

Just spreadin' the word. Who knows.

Perry,
That is a damn good idea :saint: So many beaches and a few dry lake beds that would be suitable....

I will just need to dream about that play time.

When I took the Manta single down to Baja, I found it under-powered for most beaches. In the picture the wind was off-shore and I was getting a nice quarter mile high speed swing in each direction down the beach. My favorite was setting it up especially because the wind was perfect, and sailing it back toward San Ignacio from the Laguna on a string-straight road. I was bouncing along at 25-30 mph and passed several awe stricken locals coming toward me!

The cool thing Ged is they are almost silent and don't burn gas, and WILL put your heart in your throat.

Oh, I don't doubt that at all. Low to the ground, stability puckers.... a great way to compress time and space :light:

Thirty years ago I used my windsurfer sail on my skateboard....looked for big empty parking lots ....and it was a real hoot.

These bigger-wheeled longboards would be better....but you would catch more air and biffs:

I've come across wild-eyed guys on dust devil days on the Alvord Dry Lake with equipment that said "Caution, before you are proficient with this device you will be injured and possibly killed". Big traction kites with skateboards with two little BMX tires.

Naturally everything is now taken to its extreme, and this video shows what shape nature dictates if you want to go significantly faster than the wind.
