Sally..
It was the latter part of the 80's...His gardner was a high school buddy that was renting a house from Dr. J on Glenneyre...His name is Tim Sanchez
and worked for him for years. He's still in Laguna up by TJ street up Thalia Street. His wife is Dutch and her name is Peggy. What a mix their kids
are...Dutch and Mexican!

The only thing about all the illegals in the canyon is they were very rude to all the gals..wolf whistles, gross stuff as they walked to all their
Laguna Canyon jobs. The cops would drive and harass them afterwards if they saw anything...but for the most part they just wanted work and with all
the building in Laguna and Whiteport Beach there was plenty of work.

Yep sure miss the waves below the Laguna Surf condos....and IN-N-OUT burgers. Nothin beats a Double Double, fries and large lemonade...

and in fact a good many of those workers had their green cards.
But, the fact was they could outwork any of those surfer kids blindfolded and they would show up for work on Monday without some sort of
hangover!

are right about the "workers" and just how hard they work! Did you ask to see their green cards? I know I never did! We didn't care as long as they
did the work expected of them and they always did.

Yep
We always asked to see their green cards. These guys worked harder to get up there and did it legally. I thought it would be the least I could do to
respect their efforts.
I have many stories from running const. crews and who the best learners and workers were. Let's just say that none of their last names were
Smith!

It's interesting to note the supposed outrage over the Gringo *******s. Especially since the Liberals among us seem to be the most outraged. They
seem to have no problems with the illegals in the U.S.
Let's make a deal and agree that ALL illegals in both countries should be thrown out and only those of us (and THEM) who have legal status should be
able to remain. Works for Me !

Having a green card meant they were legal to be in the u.s. to work. But, if all the illegal aliens were thrown out of Mexico, it wouldn't make a
great deal of difference because there is more money generated locally from international tourism. Of course the gringo realtors would sure suffer!
If all the illegals were thrown out of the u.s., your world would come to a screeching halt.

I just don't believe that we need the illegal alien workforce. If they were not there, life would go on pretty much as it is, at least for me. When
the Farm Workers who picked lettuce were unionized, it didn't change the price to any degree so it is likely that food costs would not rise over a
percent or two. The same applies to menial labor such as hotel maids, etc. Of course, to me a class hotel is a Days Inn or Super 8. I've noticed
that the hotel workers at those locations have been a mixture of Hispanics, Blacks, Indians, Pakistanis, and even whites so it would appear that there
is an available labor force.
If construction costs rise, that's OK, too. I don't plan on buying a house and we need to put a lid on rampant expansion.
The last gardener I hired to trim trees was a White guy so I don't think he's leaving. Same thing for the last plumber, the last mechanic and the
last carpenter.
I'm all for giving it a try to find out what the truth is.
As far as clearing out a lot of U.S. Corporation dollars from Mexico, I can't see anything but good.

There is a NEED for the illegal immigrant workforce.
Our comfort level would suffer if these workers were gone.
As we continue to educate our children, and increase the quality of our lifestyle, the children seem not to want to do lower end work for lower pay.
Actually the government LOVES to have dollars sent home to other countries because these people tend to hoard them thinking they are more stable than
pesos.
Since we MAKE the dollars for FREE the US Government wins. It?s only paper and if it isn?t cashed the government is MAKING money!!!

That's quite as statement there JR. You are saying that proportionally, we (Americans) don't contribute a signifigant amount of money to Merxico. I
