Baja Travel

Sorry, my comp. was in the shop. Again.
Pachoderm, if you would be interested in a trip down with me, send me a U2U. I will give you details of my usual agenda. Or check out http://groups.msn.com/TheBajasBestGuidesPhotoAlbum.
It would be a combination of basically all the above mentioned things on an anything but strict schedule.
I do have a number of business responsibilities down there but those happen to be fun things that you and your son would probably enjoy too.
Let me know your thoughts and by the way, your son would have to learn how to wrestle the dogs for the prime seats. Not a problem for us but if he doesn't learn to win, he may end up sitting on the floor. He has the appearance of being able to handle those two though, they love kids.

Baja on the cheap

yeah, this is all well and good, lots of great offers and you will have a wonderful time. But - you say your wife will "probably" have to stay home and work. Oh yeah? How does she feel about that? With all these great suggestions, maybe you can manage to squeeze her into your Baja budget? Just a thought.....

We are thinking of arranging a flight to Loreto or someplace like that for my wife. She wants to go, but she won?t throw a fit if we go alone. She has a brand new job and can?t flake out. I feel lucky to be married to a woman like her; she is great. In addition, I believe a father and his son can benefit from this kind of adventure; last year was definitely a bonding experience. Some day, when my son is older, I am going to treat my wife to a week-long Cruise while my mother and sister take turns babysitting our son. That would be just all right with me.

Who's vacation is it, anyway!

I wouldn't hold the pity party for Pachoderm's wife just yet. I'm sending my kids and the ex back to visit the folks in Virginia for Christmas. I'll be here all by myself not having to deal with Christmas obligations at all! Poor me! As well as I remember, I would have been even happier than a pig in poop to have my ex take the children someplace for a couple weeks when they were little and in those high need phases. As a working mom, she's probably just hunky dorey about getting a break! - Stephanie

Xmas holidays

Stephanie, sounds like you should be enjoying some south Baja mountain Tamales and Enchiladas this season. Nothing better and a great way to spend Xmas.
Spent New Years once with "Pacheco" in Laguna San Ignacio and our daughters and never had a better time.
