Looking for a beater truck to launch pangas
Ya never know till ya ask right?
Our big red Toyota that we used for launching our pangas has kicked the bucket and Juan needs a truck...preferably Toyota cause the 4X4 mechanisms
are stronger he says. A beater is fine.
So if anybody has something that might work, let us know.
We are also searching for a used 4 stroke outboard in good running condition in the 90-110 hsp range.

More than you want to spend but this could be useful for a lot of things: http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/4515431808.html
Or this one, $1500: http://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/cto/4506470495.html
One more, $1900:

Toyota's really hold their value, I guess because of that 4 x 4 strength.

There is a Chevy 4wd, long wheel base, about a 1990 I think, with a camper shell, close by for sell, looks pretty clean. Will try to get a photo to
you tomorrow, I think they want 2500.. will try to get more details with the pic tomorrow, might be negotiable..

agree- a true workhorse. extra fuel tanks a plus, price is right about your range.
+A mechanic friend once told me he prefers 4 cyl vs. 6 cyl in Toyotas- easier to work on. So if you don't need the extra HP, might be way to go.
Good luck!

Five cyl. Toyotas? I dont recall those.
I cant imagine any Toyota 4wd drive train being stronger than any of the Big Three from the US. More reliable, yes, but stronger? Not likely.
Boy, what would Juan do with a REAL, 8-foot, long bed truck! Just so much room.......and it's all contained, unlike that flatbed.

Oops- I edited to 6 cyl, not 5... . Maybe 5 speed, not 5 cylinders.
I had a 4 cyl auto Camry yrs ago, friend had Camry w/AWD 5 speed manual, 6 cyl. Rare combo, he loved that car. Great fun, powerful, handled well, but
it was more expensive to maintain acc to mechanics.
