The La Bocana camping area

With all due respect for the organization that Antonio has done for the festival, I am wondering just how important paying a security guard to stay at La Bocana 24hrs a day is.

Personally, I am completely self contained and will not be leaving anything there, even if I decide to camp there two straight nights (which I likely will not). I even have bathroom facilities.

I guess what I'm suggesting is that it may not be that worthwhile for Antonion to contract for security there.

Or is this area's former reputation still deserved......:O

A porta-john may not be such a bad idea if others are not so self contained.......

What about the rest of you La Bocana campers?

Or is it just Surfer Jim and me?

Keep in mind tha this is not a Baja Nomad party at La Bocana (it could become one), but a place to beach camp... You very well may have other non-Nomad gringos (Baja Nomad was just one of the places the festival was announced), as well as Mexican nationals camping there.

A security gaurd will help (not guarantee) everyone there or people driving by, leave other people's things alone. Don't you think?

You also may want to come and go forthe events (riding with with others or on your quad, etc.) and leave your rig there so no parking hassle in town.

Is it not required to have a license to ride quads to dirt bikes in the towns/cities of Baja? Anyone here have a good guild line to follow the legals of this?

It is a dirt road from La Bocana to the only paved road in town (Mex. 1) at the corner where Mama Espinoza's is. You do not need to worry about this, I am sure... Anyway, didn't you say work will keep you from going?
