We Have a Baja Cat in Our Garage, Again
A very young ginger-white kitten showed up about eight weeks ago.
It takes a lot of chasing around on our part, but when we can catch a glance, he looks OK, but very slim.
He eats the kitty kibble we leave for him like a truck driver.
This morning, when I went out to the garage to feed him, he was waiting for me and wrapped this tail around my leg and then retreated to his safe spot
in the corner.
He laid down in the light from the window and displayed himself - he is ginger/white with a beautiful striped face - just like a tiger mask.

Now that he is your responsibility you should get him fixed. We keep a neighborhood cat trap for just such occasions. Good luck.
No b-tchin\' in the Baja.

I agree. I rescued a few Baja cats when I lived in TJ, along with a Dobie.

Trap, fix. and release. The vets charge about $30.00 to fix them. We have done 45 if we have done any. He will last about 3 to 5 years. Nature will
take care of him if he doesn't come inside. You'll see less orange and white cats in the future.

we caught our crazy feral cat with a squirrel cage. 8 years later she is pretty tame and thinks she owns the entire house and it's contents.

True Baja cats are never "very slim". Meet Poncho:

Good luck with your new house guest in the garage. From my experience orange cats seem to have the most personality and are usually very smart. It
will take a little time for the feral instincts to abate.

We Have a Kitty Carrier in the Garage
And we are putting food inside, hoping to catch him, but, up to now, he is too wary and quick. After a few more meals, we think that he'll get a bit
more lazy - then. it will be off to the vet for a quick snip job.
The rotties are aware of the kitty and, other than sniffing around his area, they completely ignore him.
