who is coming to LA Bay for New Years?

I am coming with my friend Laura and rugrats Michael and Sandy from Dec. 29 to Jan. 2. We will be at Camp Gecko. Who else is coming? Btw, how cold is it going to be?

Hi Marla,

Emma, Daisy and I will be there again this year. Our fourth in a row, I think. The weather has always been perfect. Warm mid 70's+ in the day and cool mid 50's at night. Camp fires after dark and in the am. (Magic Rocks are a favorite that time of year.)
New Years Eve there is usually a gathering at Doc's outdoor kitchen/cafe for a pot luck dinner and then for the night owls its iff to the Diaz's for drinks and the annual New Years Eve Town dance.

We'll see you then

Cool! We are leaving 27th and staying at the Old Mill in San Quintin that night, then to Malarrimo in Guerrero Negro, hoping there might be whales in the lagoon to watch, then onto Gecko the 29th until Jan. 2....I have the big cabin yippee. See you there! Btw, what foodstuffs can we buy there and what do we need to bring with us?:

It's not a private party, just a gathering of Baja-lovers where all are welcome. Go to www.campgecko.com and email to see if they have cabins or palapas still available, depending on your needs....

Go to campgecko.com - you can make reservations there. Mary Ann says you should probably reserve a camp site. They have showers and toilets for campers. Good luck.

We'll be there too -- but at La Gringa -- After a day or two with Antonio and Bety at the Turtle Camp we'll pull our little trailer out to the point. We hope to hit town by Xmas eve.

I think this is our 6 or 7th year at BOLA, close to our 12th in Baja.

Maybe we'll drop in a visit you Marla (yes, this is your mild-mannered English prof pal).

Or maybe you want to bring the kiddies to see the turtles...

PS: thanks for letting me know here the new board was

Marla, if the kids and I are there, we will get some. If not, Paulina knows where there's some, without going all the way to the copper mine. Otherwise, go to the copper mine and grab the GREEN ore. See the photo of the mine at http://davidksbaja.com/402 GeoRock explained the chemical process of the heat and the copper oxide gas which burns purple and other pretty colors.

Can I bring my Tequila and my Conservative values?

(Not always one in the same)

How long is the strip at the Bahia?
