Mexican beer tables

I want to buy a few tables with chairs. Either the porcelain top metal ones or the plastic ones. Don't really care what brand of beer is on them. Corona, Pacifico, Superior, Tecate, etc.

Go to any distributor and ask!!! If they can't sell them, they know who can! Next best thing is to drive around and pick up as many three legged ones from the roadside or beach and watch the Mexicans as to how to do repairs!!!:light:

Bob, is there an Agencia near you? They're the big stores that deliver to the restaurants that vend their products; that'd be the first place i'd look to see IF they'll sell any. Might ask if they have any 'segundos' (used) they want to get rid of, might get the 'gringo discount' *wink-wink*. Good luck. Another are swap-meets, like in Loreto on Sundays or the Santa Rosalia / Shack's 5th Avenue stretch.

Distributors will not sell or give them to anybody except restaurants or cantinas in Mexico. I did some research on this. A friend of mine owns a Mexican restaurant in Escondido, CA and went to the Tecate brewery to try to get some. They told him no. Only if his restaurant was in Mexico. I know I could probably offer some money to some of the local places for their used ones but I just wanted to see if there was anyone on BN that had some old used ones that they wouldn't mind parting with.

If you fail scoring south of the border, try an imports place, which I am sure there are many (maybe?) in SoCal. I found tables, chairs and big steel coolers at a place in San Luis Obispo, but that was a decade ago when I lived in SLO Co. Most likely will pay more stateside.

I've seen that site, Woody. Kind of pricy for just the top. I like the old ones that had folding legs. But I'll still buy the odd numbered beers.

We have an old one with a checker board on top. We use Pacifico and Heineken caps for checkers! I'll take a pic tomorrow, cause it is cool.

A couple of years ago I wanted to buy a beer refrigerator for my palapa. The kind with the glass door and has the beer logo on the top, I thought it would look cool. Not for sale at any price! The beer companies give them out free to the restaurants and bars with an agreement to sell their beer. They have to give them back if they go belly up. I even tried to buy one from some restaurant owners, but they said they would get in trouble.

That's my understanding. Same with the tables and chairs.

Segundas

If you have the time, check the Segundas along Reforma (Hwy 1) across from the Air Force base and also the booths in the Los Globos area on Coral between Ave Morelos and 5 de Mayo

Bob53.. Here is a possible lead for you. http://www.piratesdenresort.com/ I was in there last week and the Manager said they were waiting on a shipment of new Pacifico umbrellas, and they would be getting rid of the old ones. (free). I don't know if they have tables and chairs also but it may be worth a call.
