I can just see his confession on Oprah. "My wood just got away from me, I kept driving into the brush" "I knew if I had a few more strokes I would fall to the back of the pack." "I just kept driving even though I knew I was in the ruff". "I have found that there are different strokes for different folks." "You have to admit that I have an amazing record in the ruff and traps." Need I go on? "I think I lost my ball in the last hole!?" Sorry, couldn't help myself, that is me saying that, not Tiger. Have you had a Tiger in your tank? Stop, I must stop this. Help! Stop me before I score again! Nope, that's me again, not Tiger.

The Mexicans have the same attitude, and it is even ingrained into their societal values. In Mexico, a man can get a group health insurance policy that covers himself, his wife, kids, parents, MISTRESS and CONCUBINE.

This idea has already been stated in this string...and it is true!

Back to Howodd's premise, I think the reason we in The United States (and our media) are so entertained by this story is because it piques our collective (and individual) prurient interest.

Sex is taboo...dirty! "Oh God! Stop! Please don't!...uh don't....uh Oh don't stop!...Oh God!...Oh Jesus!...I'm so ashamed...How will I ever face myself in the morning?"

"Wow! I'm really a big stud!....You Slu*! You told me you weren't that kind of a girl." Then they go to church and everything is then OK.

This story also represents our country's adulation of money. Money=Power. Money=Religion. We love it. We wallow in it. We cheat for it and we kill for it. It corrupts. It enables one to possess another's soul.

Tiger is the quintessential superhero sports celebrity. He is the very best! Besides that, he is aloof, cool, private...and very rich!!! He had it all, including a beautiful blonde wife. He made more money than any other athlete in history.

He was untouchable, flawless and perfect. Not like ordinary mortals. Not only did we consider him as such. He believed it of himself.:saint:
He was way-y-y-y up there on that pedestal, and it was a lo-n-g hard fall. We Americans love this kind of story.:wow:

Poor baby. He couldn't help himself.

I'm only quoting myself 'cause I heard on the radio this AM that he's scheduled for the Oprah Show to present this defense.
What a pathetic, ghetto wimp.

:lol: Yeah....that has to be next. He'll walk on to the Oprah set with a bible in his hand.

Jeeeezo....I pity his poor mother. His fall from grace must be devastating for her.

Any bets on whether the 'little woman' will be by his side?

I wouldn't worry about Tiger too much.

Yesterday, they cheered Vick in Atlanta.

Not everybody.

I don't worry at all about Tiger. I think he's earned everything he gets. Forever he maintened a private life, even naming his ship, "PRIVACY", and the public respected that.
Then, when someone opens the door to give the world a peek at the private life of a living legend, he reveals his emulations of Jimmy Swaggert. Look what despicable behavior did for Jimmy.
What would the world think if this had happened to Jack Nicklaus or Arnold Palmer.
