That was very uncalled for. Ralph is a really good person, very involved in the community where he lives---involved with the locals, not just the gringos.

And you have taken the fact that he is open minded and makes up his own mind as him being a "fan" of someone-----that is quite twisted.

And yes, he is also a friend of our's.

Wow-- I am impressed at your self-awareness; I'd wondered how you could even *deal* with someone like Muñoz (or in this particular case Fulano whoever s/he is) and this explains it. Personally I have trouble ignoring the characteristics of the messenger in a transaction...

As I think I mentioned before, I think Mexican communication tends to pay more attention to context than Anglo, which I suspect is the reason for a lot of cross-cultural misunderstandings; In your case I'm surprised that hasn't taken you over after having been submerged in Mexico for so long...

[Edited on 2-11-2012 by lencho]

My post was not meant to reflect my outlook on life off of this message board. It is just how I deal with anonymous posters. I am a few steps ahead of you on this, not behind. You will notice that I rarely engage the posters I don't know personally (or the "imaginary" posters) in a serious manner. I even joke with them about it. I will not engage in a battle of wits with an imaginary person... come back with a real name and use it wisely, like most of us do. They attack and bait you into serious topics from a tenuous platform at best. To me that is an automatic disqualifier for a thoughtful reply. lol

I don't know your personal gripe with Munoz, but he and his Fed Zone expert cousin have been a great deal of help with our efforts to protect the beach in Rosarito. His cousin actually drew our concession map years before we knew about Raphael on this board. We have the law 100% on our side in our case- it is the process to get quick justice in Mexico that is flawed. I do know very little of Mexican law is followed to the letter when it comes to land titles, and many people simply don't legally own what they think they do. Justice is slow here and the thugs/crooks are fast. Raphael was not aware of the current situation until I notified him yesterday. He will publish his response when he has all the facts.

Absolutely, 100% true. Why defend yourself against an imaginary entity who is intentionally messing with your brain, or at least surely trying to? Just put down the bong and back away from the keyboard.

I don't know your personal gripe with Munoz,

I realize he's been helpful in your situation and I'm curious about his intentions (there I go again, not content with face value). As for "gripe", after watching his behavior on the "turtle thread" I concluded that he's not a person I would trust or want to deal with.

I still feel bad for the live turtles the restaurant illegally used. I have to admit the "Turtle Soup" thread is an epic thread I have not read every post of. You never get 100% of the facts in an on-line discussion and, in a legal land case- it is impossible to tell for 100% certainty what the truth is. That is different from me having the papers in my hand so I can actually read and verify them. So I don't pile-on a web-lynching when it almost impossible to know all the facts are out.

btw: Why would you need to trust a Mexican land attorney and why wouldn't you hire a "Pit Bull"of a real estate attorney when you needed one?
